I've got a small but fine error found .... older male snowy owls have almost white plumage ... ie the plumage of Borron could do with less spotting. well you can now say he is still young but the fleckenentfernug begins after fledging. only as a small tip ^ ^
Boron and Barran are mates, so we'll use them as an example. For Boron, I put spots only on his wings, and on the other hand, Barran has spots nearly everywhere on her, in fact, you can tell the difference between the male snowy owls and female snowy owls, just looking at which character has the most spots!
And there are even paler owls with hardly any spots on them at all, like General Kai, he has just a few little dots, but in some cases, (Boron for example) males do have spots on their wings, but they are paler and much harder to see. I was using this photo as reference to the male and female plumage -> [link]
Haha... I remember when I saw the white owl named Moss on the cover of a book... and at the time I think I had a snowy owl character, and my name is Moss, but it was a girl. So I thought "Woah?! That's cool.... wait, it's a boy."
