Fun fact about the great horned owl: They have has one of the strongest grips ever measured in a bird. Seriously, their talons are huge, able to exert a psi of 500 pounds per square inch and when clenched, require a force of 28 pounds to open them back up: that's equal to getting bit by a German Shepherd and could easily go through bone.
