CH II, DepartureThe afternoon was phasing into a cold night, the warmth from the sun faded slowly as the moon rose into the dark blue sky. Bless left the den, a sorrowful look on her face. She felt strange since she'd left her pups with Violetta early this morning... a feeling of dread, yet a longing to be with her daughters. She stared out at the distant mountains, and sighed, her breath turning to fog in the night.CH II, Departure by Spectra-Sky
Looking down at the field, she saw her mate and a few other wolves returning from a hunting patrol. They had successfully caught a doe, and were each dragging it back to the packlands. One of the wolves, Fang, a young grey wolf with long, sharp teeth was holding a rabbit. He had a look of ease on his face, thankful to be holding something so lightweight.
Sin and the others placed the doe on a raised hill of grass, made by the wolves themselves. There was a few bits of prey left from a previous hunt; they seemed like small bits of meat next to the doe, which almost covered the grass hill.
CH I, DescendantsLeaves fell an array of red, orange and yellow, like sparks of a burning fire. Along the edge of a cliffside, a large clearing arrayed a field near a forest. Among this field, wolves darted about; some howled, some played... it was natural and peaceful. In a den nearby, a downy white she-wolf was splayed out on her side, her belly swollen with the promise of new life. Her eyes like that of a summer leaf targeted another wolf just entering the den; a heavy-built black wolf with shiny silver eyes. She smiled at him, eyes warm and blissful when he placed a leg of a doe at her feet, still fresh.CH I, Descendants by Spectra-Sky
"They'll be beautiful pups," The black wolf placed a paw on his mate's stomach, feeling the faint rumble of movement, "I just know it."
"Who knows, all I know-" she paused to take a bite then continued, "-is that they kick like I've never felt..."
"They're our first pups, Bless." The black wolf chuckled, "How would you know?"
Bless, the white wolf, took another bite, smiling. Her mate was right, th
The White OwlThe empty night accompanied a shroud of cool night air on my way home from work. There were many nights like this... though tonight it was particularly strong. My radio was on with a series of news articles being discussed; something I liked listening to. I loved to take note of what was happening around me and learn why and how things worked the way they did.The White Owl by Spectra-Sky
I had left work with a few thoughts running through my mind. As to what triggered them, well... I'd rather not say.
With my eye on the road, I saw seemingly endless pairs of headlights pass me. As they did, I focused on something: a fluffy white speck in the distance... a bird. Although, I couldn't see clearly what kind as it was practically fogged over.
"Night vapours..." I told myself, and looked back at the road.
In a matter of minutes, I found myself back home - exhausted from the day's work. I knew dinner wasn't an issue tonight... my stomach was full as I ate before leaving work a lot of nights. I couldn't cook for the life
Hi~ I'm Maddy, otherwise known as Spectra-Sky.
I'm 20 years old, living in Victoria, Australia.
Drawing and writing are my two favourite things to do;
though I also like to spend time with friends, read and play
games online and offline.
My art centres around a dark/horror style, though it can
drift to spiritual, or forest-y depending on what mood I'm
in. As you can probably tell, animals are a huge part in
what I like to draw <3
Buuut as a down side; I am unfortunately a victim of anxiety/depression, making things difficult in a couple of spots in life. It can make me forgetful aswell, so if I forget a commission you've asked for, give me a reminder and I'll (most likely)
I'm also a mega nice person (or so I've been told), so don't
be afraid to talk to me about anything; I'm happy to
